The pictures above were taken from an old IBM System 360 Core Array that was disassembled. The powered iron core doughnuts are smaller than the head of a pin. Imagine the labor to make these arrays.

The computer chips on the left are from a modern PC. These memory boards may have lots of gigabytes of RAM. They are also used on video cards, hard drives, and other computer parts to speed them up. We have made progress in the past 60 years.
